Classes cost $90.00 on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and are from 9am to 3pm and Sunday's class cost $90.00 and is from 1pm to 7pm Range qualification is conducted either before or after the class room portion, depending on the number of students registered for the class and weather conditions. Please note that the class time is 4 to 6 hours and does not include time for testing or range qualifying or breaks, so total time at the range could be as long as six hours.

To schedule a class, call the gun range at 281-337-1722 between the hours of 9am and 7pm.

It is suggested but not necessary before taking the LTC class that you access the Texas Department of Public safety at www.Tx.gov and go to the License to Carry a handgun drop down and go to the application page, fill out the on line application as a new user for Concealed Handgun License. The cost for starting the application is $40.00. For persons that are 60 and older the cost is $40.00 and for active military there is no charge and veterans (with proof of service) the cost is $25.00. Follow the instructions and print off the required forms. There will be two forms to be printed. One is a receipt for the application cost (the state does not need the receipt) and the other is a check sheet that will list required items needed to complete the application process. Note:(The check sheet will have a large bar code at the top of the page.) The check sheet form is a required form that can be mailed or e-mailed to the DPS after completing and obtaining a LTC-100 class completion form from the instructor which must be signed and dated by the class instructor on the day the class is given.

You will also need to schedule an appointment for getting electronic fingerprinting done. NOTE: (scheduling for finger printing can only be done after the State Application has been completed). This can be done after completing the LTC application then go to www.identogo.com and follow the instructions for scheduling a day and time for getting fingerprinted. When you get to the identogo location, they will take your finger prints and a picture and then take payment of 10.00 dollars cash or 10.21 dollars for checks or credit card payments. You must ask for a receipt that will have a tracking number on it that the state will use to confirm your finger prints with. Make a copy of this receipt as it is one of the forms that must be submitted to DPS (department of public safety) as part of your paper work submission for completing the application process. These required forms by the check sheet my be mailed or e-mailed. To e-mail, scan the three forms (check sheet with bar code, LTC 100 from, and finger print receipt) to you document section. Scan one page at a time. If you scan all three at the same time it will not download correctly. Then go to www.dps.tx.gov. This should take you to the home page of the DPS site. Go to the handgun licensing drop down on the upper right side of the page. This will then put you into the RSD (regulatory services division) page. Go to the contact us drop down. This will give you a page that will request information of your name, e-mail address and drivers license number. Follow the direction below the information section for how to scan the required pages from your printer to your document section of your computer. Please scan each of the forms separately so the system will not get overloaded with these PDFs later when they will be are pulled back to the browse box page. Hit the attach key and the forms will be posted on the information page listed.

Put in the requested I am not a computer code numbers, then hit submit and the forms are sent directly to DPS in Austin to the RSD unit where they will then be matched up with your application to complete the application process. Please give the DPS about 60 days to complete your background check and processing of related paper work.
